The Hugh Lane Gallery – Exhibits collections of modern and contemporary art and stages historical and retrospective exhibitions, particularly of Irish art. Information about exhibits, concerts, education programs, and visiting.

 The National Museum of Ireland – located on Merrion Street in Dublin 2, a 10 minute walk from either Grafton Street or St Stephen’s Green is divided into four different sections, National History, Country Life, Archaeology, Decorative Arts and History. The National History section of the Museum has a selection of zoological and geological collections.  The Country Life section has Irelands local trades and crafts documented and displayed from trades such as blacksmith, wood turner, basketmaker, cobbler, harness maker, wooden furniture and clay vessels, and wicker baskets. The Archaeology section which displays Celtic metalwork from the Iron Age, details of Irelands Viking history, Irelands Gold and Early Christian Ireland details. The Decorative Arts and History include jewellery and clothing from olden times and Irish Silver and furniture from the Georgian Ireland era.

Kilmainham Gaol Museum - This large unoccupied gaol contains much history of Ireland’s history from the 1700′s to 1920′s covering times when political prisioners were jailed. Kilmainham Gaol Museum is open to the public by public tour only.

Chester Beatty Library Museum - located in the gardens of Dublin Castle, housed in the 18 century Clock Tower Building and just a short walk from Dame Street or Christchurch Cathedral, the Chester Beatty Library and Museum displays works of art, manuscripts, and rare books collected by Sir Alfred Chester Beatty in the 1800′s, having being collected in Europe, Asia, North Africa and the Middle East. It is possible also to take a guided tour of the Museum. Why not visit Dublin Castle from the 12th Century when you have seen the Chester Beatty Library Museum.
